Mission trip to New Orleans coming soon.

Through "Operation Noah Rebuild," a project of the North American Mission Board - June 21st_ 28th, 2008.
Please read the information below and review the registration form

Construction Skills Needed

  • Carpentry    
  • Roofing
  • Electrical                                  
  • Plumbing
  • Insulation
  • Dry wall installation and finish
  • Ceramic tile, laminate, and hardwood floor installation
  • Painting

Construction Materials, Tools, and Equipment

  • Building materials are provided by Operation NOAH Rebuild
  • Teams bring all tools necessary to complete the assigned project
  • Limited tools and equipment are available at the warehouse for specialty jobs assigned through the NOAH construction coordinators.

Schedule

● Leave at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21
Arrive approximately 10:00 p.m.

Need to bring money for two meals & any snacks when we make stops.

● Will attend worship services at Baptist church in Louisiana on Sunday, June 22.

Need to bring money for three meals.

● Work Monday through Friday, June 23-27 – all meals will be provided.

● Leave at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28
Arrive approximately 10:00 p.m.

Need to bring money for two meals & any snacks when we make stops.
 

New Housing Location 

Volunteer Village at Hopeview

Hopeview Baptist Church, 5709 E. Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA  70092 is the new housing location for volunteers for Operation NOAH Rebuild. 

  • Sleeping quarters are dormitory style furnished with bunk beds and shower facilities. No private rooms or separate sleeping arrangements are available for individuals or couples.  Linens and pillows are not provided.  Sleeping bags are encouraged.
     
  • Breakfast and dinner are provided cafeteria-style at the Volunteer Village.  Bag lunches are available at breakfast to take to the work site.  Ice is available at the VV.

 

Restoring the houses and lives of those affected by Hurricane Katrina will be accomplished only through the willingness of volunteers like you and our team. Prayerfully consider the work that God would lead you to do in New Orleans.  Then prepare yourself for hard work, helping those in need, sharing the love of Christ, and for one of the most rewarding experiences of your lives. We look forward to serving with our brothers & sisters in Christ in New Orleans.
