Martha’s Clothes Closet
Saturdays
from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., during the week it will be by appointment
only.
"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren, ye have done it unto me,"
Matthew 25:40
The
Mission Possible class is setting up Martha's Clothes Closet to
provide clothing assistance to our church family and the
surrounding community. We believe it is part of our mission to
meet the needs of those around us-no questions asked. If you are
in need of assistance, or would like to donate clothing to
Martha's Clothes Closet, please call Wendi Curtis at
(816)795-8488. We are especially in need of men's clothing and
clothes hangers at this time, but all donations are welcome.
We have plenty of men’s clothes now but need baby clothes,
especially baby boys clothes. |

The Missions committee, MOMs, is planning a
mission trip to New Orleans through "Operation Noah Rebuild," a
project of the North American Mission Board - June 21st_ 28th,
2008. This will be for adults over the age of 18 years only.
More details will follow.
Statement from "Noah Rebuild" -
"Restoring the houses and lives of those affected by Hurrican
Katrina will be accomplished only through the willingness of
volunteers like you and your team. Prayerfully consider the work
that God would lead you to do in New Orleans. Then prepare your
group for hard work, helping those in need, sharing the love of
Christ, and for one of the most rewarding experiences of your
lives. We look forward to serving with you in New Orleans."
If you are interested in being a part of this trip, please see
someone on the MOMs committee or come to their next meeting on
Thursday, February 21st at 6:30 p.m.
